Turkey permits controlled cannabis production in 19 provinces
Cannabis production has been allowed in 19 provinces across Turkey in a controlled manner, in a bid to combat illegal production, according to a decree by the Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry in late September, the T24 news website reported.
Governor raises eyebrows with 'high-level' ceremony to open watering trough
The governor of Edirne has inaugurated a watering trough in the northwestern province, built to provide drinking water to cattle and other livestock, with an official ceremony in Edirne's Azakl? village.
The Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry constructed water troughs for animals in 13 villages across Edirne.

New salt regulation comes into effect on tomato paste, olives
New regulations decreasing the amount of salt in tomato paste and edible olives and forbidding the addition of extra sugar to fruit juices have entered into force with the start of the new year.
The Food, Agriculture and Livestock Ministry said in a statement that efforts to protect the health of the consumers continued non-stop and that the new regulation was part of these efforts.
