Bulgarian Airlines Are in for Mass Bankruptcies

Financial grants compensating for part of the lost revenues would greatly support the Bulgarian airline industry. Airlines are in dire need of additional support, Svetoslav Stanulov, Chairman of the Management Board of the Association of Bulgarian Aviation Companies, told BNR. The association's members are about 80% of the Bulgarian companies and maintenance bases.

Teodora Petkova is the New Head of UniCredit Bulbank

Teodora Petkova is the new Chairperson of the Management Board and CEO of UniCredit Bulbank, the bank said on May 2. She will replace Levon Hampartzoumian who left the post at the end of April after successful completion of his term in office, reports BNT.

The appointment of Teodora Petkova is subject to entry in the Commercial Register, the bank announced.

Hauliers and Carriers Insist that the TOLL System in Bulgaria Be Postponed to 2020

The construction of the toll system is scheduled and ready to be released on August 16, announced Regional Minister Petya Avramova last week. From May 15th, testing of the toll system begins in the "taxi" section based on distance traveled, she said.
