Metropolitan Municipal Council

 Following deliberations, the BSP leadership unequivocally distanced itself from the actions of the councilors, thereby withdrawing political trust from them.

The coalition of "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (WCC-DB) and "Spasi Sofia" decided not to propose a candidate for the chairmanship of the Metropolitan Municipal Council in today's session. Boris Bonev, their initial nominee who was unsuccessful twice, confirmed the coalition's collective choice to abstain from the contest.

Over 56% of the residents of Sofia plan to vote in the local elections in the capital, 16.1% have not decided, and 27.6% would rather not vote.

The Metropolitan Municipal Council decided to introduce speed limits for electric scooters in Sofia and a regulation on their parking. Speed in the parks will be 5 kilometers per hour, there will be designated areas for lower speeds, explained the chairman of the council, Georgi Georgiev:

New rules, restrictions and sanctions for the use of scooters and electric scooters in Sofia are proposed in amendments to the "Ordinance on the organization of traffic on the territory of the Capital Municipality". Over 7 million electronic tickets have been sold for travel in Sofia's public transport since the beginning of the year until now, according to the Center for Urban Mobility. The most preferred is the 30+ ticket. Up to 10% of people using this ticket transfer to another vehicle within 30 minutes.
