Cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov Taken to Hospital in Serious Condition
76-year-old Bulgarian cosmonaut Georgi Ivanov was taken to hospital this morning, reported BNR.
The Military Medical Academy has announced that he has most probably suffered a brain stroke.
On 10 April, 1979 Ivanov took part in flight in space on board the Soyuz 33 spaceship together with Russian Cosmonaut Nikolai Rukavishnikov.
Ex Head of Bulgaria's Military Medical Academy Indicted
Gen Stoyan Tonev, the former head of the Military Medical Academy (MMA) in Sofia, has been indicted with charges of deliberate mismanagement through conclusion of unprofitable contracts
Tonev allegedly misuses BGN 6.5 M (EUR 3.25 M) of the MMA's budget, according to the Bulgarian prosecuting authorities which submitted the indictment to the Sofia Military Court.

Businessman Shot in Bulgaria's Vratsa
Businessman Krasimir Nikolov was shot in front of his home in the town of Vratsa on Thursday night.
Nikolov was shot six times by a masked gunman, with the bullets wounding him in the arms, legs and abdomen.
He was immediately transported to the emergency department of the hospital in Vratsa where his condition was stabilised.
