BELGRADE - The members of a Tunisian Defence Ministry delegation that is paying a working visit to the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, on Thursday discussed future cooperation with officials of the Military Medical Academy (VMA).

The Tunisian delegation was received by Zoran Segrt, a representative of the head of the VMA.

The Sofia District Military Prosecutor's Office has pressed charges against Stoyan Tonev, former director of the Military Medical Academy (MMA) in Sofia and former MP from ruling party GERB, for deliberate mismanagement and conclusion of disadvantageous contracts.

Bulgaria's Parliament on Thursday elected Daniela Daritkova as head of its Healthcare Commission, replacing Gen. Stoyan Tonev.

Daritkova is member of Parliament from GERB, the largest party in the minority coalition government led by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov.

Bulgaria's Parliament terminated the term in office of Stoyan Tonev, MP from center-right ruling party GERB.

The motion was backed by 158 MPs, with 10 votes against and 5 abstentions, according to reports of the BGNES news agency.

The Deputy Chair of Bulgarian Parliament Rositsa Yanakieva was admitted urgently to the Military Medical Academy early on Tuesday morning.

The information was confirmed by the press office of her party Alternative for Bulgarian Revival (ABV), electronic daily Dnevnik reports.
