The Permanent Representative Committee of the governments of Member States approved the provisional agreement reached by the Romanian presidency of the Council of the European Union with the European Parliament on the Natural Gas Directive, with the next step being the adoption of the Directive by the European Parliament, the Ministry of Energy announced on Thursday.

The coal-powered stations in the Maritza East complex will certainly work until 2030, and investing in new technologies - maybe later. This provides for an Integrated National Climate and Energy Plan project by 2030, with a horizon up to 2050, presented to trade unions on Sunday, the CITUB and the Ministry of Energy announced the following day.

First drilling in Cyprus's block 10 completed

As expected, ExxonMobil's first exploratory drilling in block 10 has been completed.

According to an official announcement from the Ministry of Energy, exploratory drilling on target Delphyne-1 by ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Cyprus (Offshore) Limited and Qatar Petroleum International Upstream OPC has been completed.
