Sofia. The government approved the report on the events held as part of the Bulgarian presidency of the Council of the EU, the government press office said. In the framework of the presidency, 330 meetings, sessions and conferences were held within the country.

Dacic expressed gratitude for constructive cooperation and support from the UN High Commissariat and pointed to the well-known objections of Serbia regarding the abolition of the refugee status for the persons expelled from Croatia in 1995.

Secretary of state with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) George Ciamba on Friday had consultations in Vienna with the Secretary General of the Ministry for Europe, Integration and Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Austria, Johannes Peterlik, among other topics the two discussing collaboration in implementing and promoting the EU Strategy for the Danube Region.

The two ministers exchanged views on current issues on the international scene, the Serbian government announced on Thursday.

They paid special attention to the political and security situation in the Western Balkans and the Persian Gulf.

The government proposes to the President to issue a decree appointing 10 new ambassadors. The decision was taken at a secret session of the Council of Ministers last Wednesday.
 

The Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Romania, Cord Meier-Klodt, said on Monday that it would be useful if the entire Government distanced themselves from the defamation of the German minority.

Lavrov will meet with Igor Crnadak, and will also be welcomed by members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Lavrov and Crnadak should also sign a Consultation Plan between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation for the period 2019/2020.

Romania is ready to host an informal summit of heads of state or government of the European Union on May 9, 2019, and "the Romanian government is making the necessary efforts to make the event a success," Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) said Thursday in a press statement.

Romania's Minister-delegate for European Affairs Victor Negrescu said Tuesday that he was the preparation of the public communication elements and budgetary aspects of the Romanian presidency of the Council of the European Union have reached the finish line.

Romania's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) is carefully and concernedly following the developments in the situation created at the border between Romania and Moldova and asking, "in the spirit of dialogue and co-operation that characterises the relationship between the two countries" for explanations on why Romanian citizens were not allowed to cross the border.
