Finally: Bulgaria’s President issued a Decree for the Release of Prosecutor General Ivan Geshev

With its decree on the basis of Art. 129, paragraph 3, item 5 of the Constitution, President Rumen Radev dismissed Ivan Geshev from the position of Chief Prosecutor of the Republic of Bulgaria.

This was announced by the press office of the head of state.

The move is likely to bring an end to two years of political turmoil which has seen five parliamentary elections held in Bulgaria.

An accident with the motorcade of the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev occurred on the road between Sofia and Samokov. According to information from the National Television, the chief prosecutor was supposed to travel to Turkey. Before leaving, he decided to go to a meeting with junior prosecutors in the Samokov region.

A Bulgarian Woman close to the "Crypto Queen" Ruja Ignatova was Extradited to the US

The Bulgarian Irina Dilkinska has been extradited to the USA and charged in connection with the "OneCoin" crypto-fraud, announced the American Ministry of Justice, as quoted by BTA.

A statement from the ministry said she was extradited on March 20 and will appear before a US judge.

Russian Blogger Arrested for Spying Seeks Asylum in Albania

Timofeeva is currently in jail awaiting trial in Albania, charged by a local prosecutor with espionage after she was arrested along with another Russian and a Ukrainian citizen near a former military factory in Gramsh in southern Albania.
