MDRAP: 17.3 ml euro worth of EU funding for Romania-Ukraine Joint Operational Program's large infrastructure projects

The Romanian and Ukrainian authorities signed four financing contracts with a total of 19.3 million euro, of which 17.3 million euro in European funding, allocated through the Romania - Ukraine 2014-2020 Joint Operational Program, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration (MDRAP) informs.

MEP Laurentiu Rebega, at the time of the deeds Vice-President of the Prahova County Council, was prosecuted by the anti-corruption prosecutors in a case in which he is accused, among other things, of incitement to defraud with European funds and money laundering, the National Anti-corruption Directorate (DNA) informs on Thursday.

Gov't ordinance supporting public local administration to carry out EU-funded projects

The government approved at the sitting this Thursday an ordinance providing support to local authorities with carrying out projects financed from European funds, government spokesperson Nelu Barbu announced in a release. He added that the regulatory act was promoted by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Administration.
