Bulgaria Edges Closer to Sixth General Election in Two Years

On Thursday, GERB leader and former Prime Minister Boyko Borissov reconfirmed that he has stopped discussions with his opponents in "We Continue the Change" and Democratic Bulgaria on forming a government.

Official Final Results of the Elections in Bulgaria
Shortly before midnight, the Central Election Commission (CEC) announced the final results of the early parliamentary vote on Sunday - April 2, according to which six political formations entered the 49th National Assembly.
Elections in Bulgaria: Machine beats Paper by 59%
"Just over 59% of voters voted by machine. That's about 1.477 million people, and just over 1.021 million voted with paper ballots." Diana Eftimova - chairman of the Board of the Institute for the Development of the Public Environment, who analyzed the results published in the protocols of the Regional Election Committees (RECs), stated this to the National Radio.

Final Results: Who Wins the Elections in Bulgaria?
CEC data as of 5:55 p.m. with 100% of sectional protocols processed in the Regional Election Commissions show that six political formations will enter the 49th National Assembly: GERB - SDS, WCC-DB, "Vazrazhdane", DPS, BSP and " There Is Such a People".

Elections in Bulgaria: With 100% Processed Protocols Abroad - DPS First, WCC-DB Second
The 179,570 people who voted outside of Bulgaria determined that the first place abroad was for the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) which received 36.86% (62,906 people) of the vote.
This is shown by the data of the Central Election Commission with 100% processed protocols abroad.
Elections in Bulgaria: People who Voted "I don't Support Anyone" are Young, Educated Women from Big Cities
The choice "I do not support anyone" is becoming more and more relevant, Janitsa Petkova, a sociologist from Gallup International Balkan, commented to the National Radio. "The voter who ticks this box is predominantly female. Predominantly female, and also young women. 60 percent of all ticks are female, almost 1/3 of all ticks are under 30 years old.
