The ambassador of Russia and Eleonora Mitrofanova and the temporarily acting ambassador of the embassy of Belarus in Bulgaria Nikita Leshukov will not receive invitations to the opening of the 48th National Assembly.

This was announced by Nadezhda Yordanova from "Democratic Bulgaria" after a meeting of the parliamentary parties in the parliament.

The Central Election Committee (CEC) has drawn the numbers of the parties and coalitions participating in the elections for the ballots of the upcoming vote

In the early parliamentary vote, Stefan Yanev's party "Bulgarian Rise" will be number 15, and "BSP for Bulgaria" - with 28.

GERB and "We Continue the Change" are approaching positions, the difference between them being less than 1 percent. They would get 22.2 percent and 21.5 percent of the votes, respectively, if the elections were held today.

On June 27, 2022, Head of State Rumen Radev held consultations with representatives of the parliamentary groups of the 47th National Assembly to hand over a mandate to form a new government within the current parliament. They were held at the presidential institution.

Regardless of how the dispute with neighbour North Macedonia ends - an issue that divided the coalition - the political confrontation will only deepen.

The regular sitting of the National Assembly failed after three unsuccessful attempts to establish a quorum in the plenary hall.

The three attempts proved unsuccessful after the deputies from GERB-SDS, DPS, "There Is Such a People" and "Vazrazhdane" did not enter the plenary hall for registration.
