Bulgarian court orders six years in jail for three ISIL suspects who tried to enter Turkey

A Bulgarian court on Sept. 13 sentenced three Syrians to six years in jail on terrorism charges.

The Speciliased Criminal Court convicted the three men for entering the Balkan country aiming to carry out terrorist actions abroad, but acquitted them from charges of being members of Islamic State, Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) and Muslim Brotherhood.

Egypt sets up 'national council' to combat 'terror'

Egypt has created a "national council" to combat the rise of Islamist "terrorism" which has targeted its security forces and Coptic Christian minority, in a presidential decree issued on Wednesday.

The decree, published in Egypt's official gazette, sets up a "national council to combat terrorism and extremism" by adopting a "global national strategy."
