Ljubljana – The Credentials and Privileges Commission proposed that the National Assembly appoint to the programme council and supervisory board of public broadcaster RTV Slovenija five candidates each who had been proposed by the coalition, the Pensioners’ Party (DeSUS) and the opposition National Party (SNS) much to the chagrin of the centre-left opposition.

He became the head of the Council of Ministers after receiving the support of 134 deputies from "We Continue Change", BSP, "There Is Such a People" and "Democratic Bulgaria". Today, the National Assembly held an extraordinary sitting to approve the country's new government.

The New Cabinet: Bulgaria Finally has a New Government
Bulgaria finally has a new government, after parliament voted on three points this afternoon - the election of a prime minister, the adoption of a structure of the Council of Ministers and the election of a cabinet.
Exactly at 16:01 p.m. Kiril Petkov was elected Prime Minister of Bulgaria. His candidacy was accepted by 134 votes to 104.
The New Cabinet: Hristo Ivanov Urged Ivan Geshev to Resign
"Judicial reform begins with the need for an accountable Attorney General, ie with your resignation, Mr. Geshev," said Democratic Bulgaria co-chair Hristo Ivanov from the parliamentary rostrum. The National Assembly also included the Prosecutor General, whom the MP called for resigning.
The New Cabinet: DPS will Not Support the “Petkov” Government
The Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS) will not support the proposed program, structure and composition of the Council of Ministers, because it has participated in the talks about them.
