Greeks wise to online fake news

Internet use rose in Greece by 9 percentage points from 2017 to 2019, according to a survey by the National Center of Social Research (EKKE).

The survey, titled "World Internet Project Greece - The Internet in Greece," showed that 71% of Greeks used the internet last year, compared to 62.2% in 2017 and 59.8% in 2015.

Greece's population in rapid decline

Greece's population has declined by 360,000 in the last seven years and is projected to drop by a further 770,000 people over the next 12 years if birthrates remain at today's levels, according to recent data collected by experts at the National Center of Social Research (EKKE) and a special parliamentary committee on demographics and social affairs.
