A proposal by the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev to initiate disciplinary proceedings against Borislav Sarafov, director of the National Investigative Service (NSI) and deputy chief prosecutor for the investigation, was submitted to the registry of the Supreme Judicial Council.

"All my media appearances after the attack on Ivan Geshev were fully coordinated with Borislav Sarafov". This was stated on the National Television by the Deputy Director of the National Investigative Service (NSI) Yasen Todorov.

The deputy chief prosecutor and director of the National Investigative Service (NSI) Borislav Sarafov accused the chief prosecutor Ivan Geshev of privatizing the prosecutor's office and said he feared for his life. At a briefing, Sarafov turned to the Minister of Justice Krum Zarkov with a request to assign him personal security.

The deputy director of the National Investigative Service (NSI) Yasen Todorov defined the reasons for the request for his removal, submitted by his superior and deputy chief prosecutor Borislav Sarafov, as "untrue". And he added that it was Sarafov who attempted a coup in the prosecutor's office.

The National Police on Friday launched a probe into a case made public by caretaker Interior Minister Boiko Rashkov, BTA has learnt. The Interior Ministry said that there is an ongoing probe in connection with a concrete alert and two former and one acting magistrate have been invited for an interview within the framework of the probe.

President Rumen Radev will present the composition, structure and priorities of the future caretaker government on January 27 at 10:00 hrs at an official ceremony at Dondukov 2, reported the press service of the head of state.

Gen. Kodzheykov will reportedly head the security department at the company, according to Bulgarian newspaper Presa, which cites MPs from the ruling Bulgarian Socialist Party as well as from its partner Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS).
