Illegal trade in arms and people, scenes of violence and live murders - all this is a reality, but on the so-called DARKNET or dark web on the Internet.

A student from the National Military University infiltrated it, using his skills not to be tracked, and created a film that would be included in the curriculum of the National Security major.

Borisov: Nearly BGN 4 billion Will be Spent on Defense This Year

Prime Minister Boyko Borissov attended the ritual of taking a military oath by freshmen at the National Military University "V. Levski" in Veliko Turnovo.
"The government has allocated BGN 16 million to repair your buildings," the prime minister said. In his speech, he stressed that this year nearly BGN 4 billion will be spent on defense.

US Military Equipment Arrives to Bulgaria for Black Sea Rotational Force Training

US military equipment is arriving to Bulgaria for participation in the planned joint multinational activity Black Sea Rotational Force - Platinum Lion 16-1.

The US armament includes four M1 tanks, Striker armoured personnel carriers (APCs), artillery systems as well as supporting equipment, the defence ministry's press service informs.

Bulgaria’s Caretaker Govt to Boost Intelligence Service Budget by BGN 1 M

Bulgaria's caretaker government is to allocate Wednesday an additional sum of BGN 1 M to the National Intelligence Service.

The funding, which is to be provided through state budget savings, will be used for urgent current expenditures for activities directly related to the implementation of its core functions and tasks by end-2014, according to the government's press office.

Velizar Shalamanov was born on December 24, 1961.

He has a master's degree in radio electronics from the National Military University in Dolna Mitropolia, a master's degree in management and organisation of operational and tactical intelligence from the Sofia Military Academy in Sofia and a doctoral degree in cybernetics from the Kiev University.
