The number of registrations of individuals and legal persons increased in the first half of 2021 by 62.55 pct compared to the same period of the previous year, to 79,734, of which 53,844 are limited liability companies (LLCs), according to data centralized by the National Office of the Trade Register (ONRC), consulted by AGERPRES.

The number of deregistered companies grew in 2019 by 26.71 pct, compared to the previous year, reaching 101,601, according to data of the National Office of the Trade Register (ONRC) Most closures were recorded in Bucharest - 12,554 companies (3.68 pct less than 2018) and in the counties of Iasi - 4,994 (plus 59.20 pct), Cluj - 4,009 (minus 0.37 pct), and Prahova - 3,617 (plus 37.01 pct).

The Government approved, in its Wednesday's meeting, the substantiation note regarding the necessity and the opportunity to carry out the expenses related to the 'Integrated electronic system of the National Office of the Trade Register', meant to reduce the bureaucracy and the time dedicated to the registration process of companies in the Trade Register.
