Authorities report 942 new infections and 58 deaths
The number of new SARS-CoV-2 cases fell to 942 on Wednesday from 1,047 on Tuesday, with the total number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Greece reaching 137,918.
Of these new cases, 22 were reported at the country's entry points.
The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) counted 58 more deaths from Covid-19 bringing the overall number of fatalities to 4,788.
More Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines arrive in Athens

Coronavirus: 1,047 new cases, 58 deaths
Greek health authorities confirmed 1,047 new coronavirus cases on Tuesday, pushing the total number of infections in the country to 136,976.
In its daily bulletin, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said 58 more patients died from Covid-19, raising the total number of fatalities to 4,730.

Authorities confirm 476 new coronavirus cases, 66 deaths
Greek health authorities on Monday confirmed 476 new coronavirus infections in Greece, eight of which were reported at the country's entry points.
The total number of infections in the country rose to 135,931.
In its daily bulletin, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said 66 more patients died from Covid-19, raising the total number of fatalities to 4,672.
937 new coronavirus infections reported, 62 deaths
The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) reported 937 new SARS-CoV-2 infections on Wednesday, which drove the total number to 133,365.
Of these new cases, only five were reported at the country's entry points,
At the same time, 62 patients died from Covid-19, raising the total number of fatalities to 4,402. The median age of those who died was 79 years.

Mass vaccination of general population to begin in February, EODY chief says
The head of the National Organization for Public Health (EODY), Panagiotis Arkoumaneas, on Wednesday said he expected mass vaccination of the general population to begin in February.
Speaking on Skai radio, Arkoumaneas said that the coronavirus vaccination program should be complete by the summer.
Covid-19 deaths remain high, new infections drop to 526
The number of new SARS-CoV-2 cases dropped to 526 on Monday from 588 on Sunday, bringing the total number to 131,597, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said in its daily bulletin.
Of these new cases, 14 were reported at the country's entry points.
Virus deaths exceed 4,000 since start of pandemic
Deaths from the coronavirus have topped 4,000 in Greece, health authorities announced Friday.
The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said another 96 patients died of Covid-19, raising the overall number of fatalities to 4,044.
There were 916 new infections on Friday, bringing the total number to 129,584.

Greece to receive first batch of Covid vaccine on Dec 26, PM says
Greece will receive the first batch of coronavirus vaccines on December 26, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said Friday, adding that the first vaccinations will take place at five Covid-designated hospitals in Athens and Thessaloniki.
Inoculation of Sotiria medical staff to begin on Dec 27
The inoculation of doctors and medical staff at Sotiria Hospital in Athens will begin on December 27, Mina Gaga, director of the hospital's 7th pulmonary clinic, told Skai radio on Friday.
Gaga said all hospital workers have said they will have the Covid-19 vaccine as soon as it becomes available.
"It is the only way to ensure everyone is protected," she said.
