Deaths and intubated patient numbers dip

The number of coronavirus-related deaths and critical Covid-19 patients who are on ventilators dropped on Thursday, though the contraction in new infections was only slight.

In its daily bulletin on Thursday, the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) announced 78 deaths in the 24-hour period, an improvement from Wednesday's and Tuesday's toll of 85 and 98, respectively.

Covid-19 deaths remain high, 550 patients intubated

The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) reported 98 new deaths from Covid-19 on Tuesday, which raised the number of overall fatalities to 3,785.

The median age of those who died was 79 years.

EODY also confirmed 1,240 new infections which drove the total number to 126,372. Of these new cases, 14 were reported at the country's entry points,

New coronavirus cases drop to 639, 62 deaths

Greek health authorities announced 639 new SARS-CoV-2 cases on Monday, the lowest number in months, bringing the total number to 125,173.

Of the new cases, 15 were detected in Attica.

The total number of intubated patients rose to 558 (average age was 66) from 552 on Sunday, while 732 have left ICU, according to data from the National Organization for Public Health (EODY).

Authorities to boost testing, checks in west Attica as infections spike

Greek authorities on Friday decided to increase random testing for coronavirus in west Attica and intensify checks for compliance with the health measures as the viral load in the area remained high.

Deputy Civil Protection Minister Nikos Hardalias said at the daily briefing on the coronavirus that west Attica had over 300 active coronavirus cases.

Over 100 Covid-19 deaths reported on Friday

The number of deaths climbed over 100 on Friday with Greek health authorities announcing another 102 fatalities which brought the overall number to 3,472.

The median age of the victims was 79.

The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said it registered 1,395 new cases of coronavirus. The total number now stands at 122,648.

1,677 new SARS-CoV-2 cases added, deaths remain high

Greek health authorities announced 1,677 new cases of coronavirus on Wednesday, raising the total number to 119,720.

Just 10 of those new cases were imported, detected at the country's entry points.

According to the National Organization for Public Health (EODY) 95 more patients died from Covid-19, raising the total number of fatalities to 3,289.

Authorities report 102 Covid-19 deaths, 1,382 new infections

The number of deaths remained high on Tuesday with Greek health authorities announcing another 102 fatalities which brought the overall number to 3,194.

The median age of the victims was 79.

The National Organization for Public Health (EODY) said it registered 1,382 new cases of coronavirus. The total number now stands at 118,045.
