Six Senior Public Officials Investigated over Conflict of Interest

By decisions adopted at a meeting today, the Commission for Combating Corruption and Forfeiture of Illegally Acquired Property has initiated proceedings for establishing a conflict of interest with respect to six senior public officials under Art. 6 para. 1 of the anti-corruption law, said the Commission's press office quoted by Focus News Agency. Bulgaria's First Lady Gets Personal Protection over 'Threat'

A concrete threat has forced the Desislava Radeva, the First Lady of Bulgaria to be placed under personal guard from the National Service for Protection (NSO), the institution says.

In a statement, the NSO has noted that members of the Bulgarian President's family can use protection in case a specific threat has been established, including in cases of terrorism.
