Industrial Production Index Rose by 0.8% as Compared to June 2019

According to the preliminary data in July 2019 the Industrial Production Index , seasonally adjusted , rose by 0.8% as compared to June 2019, reported the National Statistical Institute (NSI). 

In July 2019 the working day adjusted Industrial Production Index fell by 0.9% in comparison with the same month of 2018.

3.5% Increase in GDP in the Second Quarter of 2019 Compared to 2018

A 3.5% increase in Gross Domestic Product in the second quarter of 2019 compared to the same period a year earlier reported National Statistical Institute (NSI), quoted by BNT. 

National statistics estimate that GDP for the second quarter of the year amounts to 29 107 million at current prices. Converted to euro, it amounts to EUR 14 882 million and per capita amounts to EUR 2 128.

At the End of 2018 Foreign Direct Investment in the Bulgarian Non-financial Amounts to EUR 25 454 Million

According to preliminary data, foreign direct investment (FDI) in the non-financial sector as of December 31, 2018, amounted to EUR 25,454 million at current prices, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a press release.

In the Second Half of 2019 More than a Million Bulgarians Made Tourist Trips

In the second quarter of 2019, 1,219.8 thousand Bulgarian residents made tourist trips, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a press release. The majority of them (75.7%), traveled only in the country, 19.1% - only abroad, and 5.2% traveled both in the country and abroad.

Significant Increase in Bulgarians' Trips for the Second Quarter of the Year

The trips of the Bulgarians doubled in the period April - June, according to the data of the National Statistical Institute. Over the three months, 1.219 million Bulgarians traveled, as expected, most of them traveled in the country - 75.7%, 19.1% traveled abroad, and 5.2% - both in the country and abroad.

Second Quarter of 2019: Total Income Average per Household Member in Bulgaria was BGN 1,547

The total income average per household member in the second quarter of 2019 was 1,547 BGN, a 4.9% increase compared to the same period of 2018, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) said in a press release.
The highest relative share of income was from wages and salaries (57.8%), followed by income from pensions (27.6%) and self-employment (6.2%).

NSI: The Average Income per Household Member Is BGN 1547, the Expenditure - BGN 1402.
