In the 1st Quarter of 2019, 929.0 Thousand Bulgarian Residents Made Tourist Trips

n the first quarter of 2019, 929.0 thousand Bulgarian residents1 made tourist trips, reported the National Statistical Institute.

The majority (78.4%) of them travelled only within the country, 17.7% - only abroad and 3.9% - both in the country and abroad. Compared to the same quarter of 2018 the total number of the travelled persons aged 15 and over decreased by 7.3%.

Expenses of the Bulgarian Family are Growing Faster than Income

The expenses of the Bulgarian family are growing at a higher rate than the incomes, but the income is still more than the expenses, analysis of the National Statistical Institute (NSI) shows. According to the data, Bulgarians spend less money on food, at the expense of housing maintenance, taxes, fees and social security contributions.

The Total Income Per Household Increased by 8% in the 1st Quarter of 2019

The total average income per person per household in the first quarter of 2019 is BGN 1519  and increased by 8 per cent over the same period in 2018 and the total cost was BGN 1403 and increased by 11 per cent over the same quarter last year.
This was announced by the National Statistical Institute.

Inflation For April is 0.5%

The consumer price index in April 2019 compared to March 2019 was 100.5%, i.e. the monthly inflation was 0.5%, reported the National Statistical Institute (NSI). 

The inflation rate since the beginning of the year (April 2019 compared to December 2018) has been 1.7% and the annual inflation in April 2019 compared to April 2018 was 3.7%.

NSI: Bulgaria's Exports to EU grew by 9.3%

In January - February 2019, Bulgaria's exports to the EU increased by 9.3% compared to the same period in 2018 and amounted to BGN 6 334.3 million, according to the National Statistical Institute.
The main trade partners were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France and Belgium, which account for 66.4% of the exports to the EU member states.

The expected average life expectancy for the country's total population, calculated for the period 2016 - 2018, is 74.8 years, compared to the previous period (2015-2017), remains unchanged, the National Statistical Institute reported, quoted by BTA.

According to preliminary data of the National Statistical Institute in the first quarter of 2019 the number of newly built residential buildings was 635 and the newly built dwellings in them were 2 453, reported the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

As the number of Bulgarian students is decreasing, foreigners studying in Bulgarian higher schools are getting more and more. For five years, the increase is 37.8% and their share reaches 7%. This is apparent from the data of the National Statistical Institute.

Municipal Authorities Issued Building Permits For Construction of 1 247 Residential Buildings For the First Quarter of 2019

In the first quarter of 2019, the municipal authorities issued building permits for construction of 1 247 residential buildings with 7 832 dwellings and 1 032 933 sq. m gross building area, of 28 administrative buildings/offices with 67 404 sq. m gross building area and 1 149 other buildings with 560 208 sq. m gross building area, reported the National Statistical Institute (NSI).
