Price Levels For Consumer Goods and Services Differed Widely in the EU For 2016

In 2016, price levels for consumer goods and services differed widely in the European Union. Denmark (139% of the EU average) had the highest price level, followed by Ireland (125%), Luxembourg and Sweden (both 124%), Finland and the United Kingdom (both 121%).

Hotel Revenues up by Almost 17% YoY

In April 2017, 1 965 accommodation establishments - hotels, motels, camping sites, mountain chalets and other establishments for short-term accommodation with more than 10 bed-places were functioned in the country. The total number of the rooms in them was 67.2 thousand and the bed-places were 148.7 thousand, according to the data of the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

Bulgaria's Trade with EU and non-EU Countries Increase Significantly

In the period January - March 2017 Bulgarian exports to the EU increased by 12.2% compared to the same period of 2016 and amounted to BGN 7 915.2M according to the National Statistical Institute. Main trade partners of Bulgaria were Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France and Belgium which accounted for 67.9% of the exports to the EU Member States.
