Number of Live Births, Life Expectancy Record Increase in Bulgaria
The increasing number of live births and the growing average life expectancy are the positive trends in the demographic development of the Bulgarian population.
This was noted by the government as it endorsed the updated national strategy for the demographic development of the Bulgarian population (2012-2030).

Bulgaria's Gross Domestic Product (GDP) grew by 2.9% year-on-year in the third quarter, according to a flash estimate of the National Statistical Institute released on Friday.
Third-quarter GDP expanded by seasonally adjusted 0.7% compared to the second quarter of 2015.

The total number of Bulgarians working abroad is bigger than their homeland's entire workforce at the moment, new data suggests.
As of 2015, some 2.5 million people born in Bulgaria work outside the country, with their contributions sent home amounting to EUR 1.7 M (in an economy of around EUR 40 B). To compare, the active population in Bulgaria's labor market totals 2.2 million.

Building Permits, Construction Starts Increase in Bulgaria in Q3
Activity in Bulgaria's construction sector is picking up, official figures showed on Monday.
Municipal authorities have issued 1,154 permits for the construction of residential buildings comprising a total of 4 670 dwellings in the third quarter, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) announced.

Bulgaria Registers Deflation of 0.1 % in September
The latest figures of the National Statistical Institute (NSI), which were released on Wednesday, showed that Bulgaria registered a monthly inflation of negative 0.1 % in September.
Since the beginning of the year Bulgaria recorded a deflation of 0.5 %, while the annual inflation stood at 0.1 %.
