In the period January - November 2018 the Exports From Bulgaria to Third Countries Decreased by 12.3%

In the period January - November 2018 the exports of goods from Bulgaria to third countries decreased by 12.3% in comparison with the same period of 2017 and added up to 16 062.0 Million BGN, reported the National Statistical Institute (NSI).

NSI: Industrial Production in Bulgaria up 0.4% MoM in November

In November 2018, the industrial production index rose by 0.4% month-on-month and by 1.2% compared to November 2017, the National Statistical Institute (NSI)said. On annual basis, manufacturing production grew by 2%, while a decrease was registered in power, gas, steam and air conditioning supply and in the mining and quarrying industry, by 3.9% and 2.6%, respectively.

NSI: Business Climate in Bulgaria Improves with the Exception of Construction

Regular Business Surveys of the National Statistical Institute reported improvements in the business environment in the country in November, excluding construction. The overall business climate indicator increased by 0.6 percentage points compared to October, driven by improved business conditions in industry and retail. The indicator for the Services sector is unchanged.

Euro Area Unemployment at 8.1%

The euro area (EA19) seasonally-adjusted unemployment rate was 8.1% in October 2018, stable compared with September 2018 and down from 8.8% in October 2017. This remains the lowest rate recorded in the euro area since November 2008, according to data of the National Statistical Institute.

Bulgarians Spend Average of 640 Leva on a Trip Abroad

In the third quarter of the year 1 882.7 thousand Bulgarian citizens over 15 years of age have made travel trips. The majority of them - 79.8% - traveled only in the country, 14.8% - abroad and 5.4% traveled both in the country and abroad.
