Retail trade turnover up by 3.6 percent in January
BELGRADE - Retail trade turnover in Serbia was 3.6 percent up in January from the same month of 2014, declining by 14.2 percent compared to last year's average, the national statistical office said on Monday.
Compared to last December, retail trade turnover was down by 23.7 percent in January.

Montenegro Hails Increase in Tourist Numbers
Some 1.54 million tourists visited Montenegro in 2014, which was 1.7 per cent more than in 2013, the National Statistical Office, MONSTAT, said in its latest report released on Tuesday.
Tourists made 9.55 million overnight stays, which was 1.5 per cent more than in 2013.

Number of childbirths below wartime levels
BELGRADE - The number of childbirths in Serbia in 2013 was lower than during the Balkan wars, World War I or World War II, demographer Goran Penev said on Thursday, adding that the economic situation in the country must be improved for the birth rate to increase.

Unemployment rate at 20.8 percent
BELGRADE - The jobless rate in Serbia stood at 20.8 percent in the first quarter, shows a survey by the national statistical office.
The male unemployment rate was at 20.1 percent and female one at 21.6 percent.
