Police authorities in New York City are on constant alert amid fears of terrorist attacks on Jewish synagogues following the missile attack launched by Iran against Israel.

Israel is entering Lebanon with its forces conducting quiet raids in the south of the country, using Hezbollah’s sophisticated network of underground tunnels to launch a ground assault on the terrorist group’s remaining strongholds.

The situation in the Middle East remains highly volatile and appears increasingly grim. Türkiye marked World Humanitarian Day on Monday with a condemnation of Israel's ongoing offensive in Gaza, which has claimed over 40,000 lives in the last 10 months, emphasizing the need for accountability.

"We pay tribute to those who sacrificially serve in every corner of the world," the Turkish Foreign Ministry stated on X, honoring humanitarian workers.

The Israeli army has killed 40 more Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, taking the overall death toll to 39,790 since last Oct. 7, the Health Ministry in the enclave said on Saturday.

A ministry statement added that some 91,702 other people have been injured in the assault.

Israel's Foreign Minister Israel Katz said on Thursday the diplomatic status of Norwegian envoys to the Palestinian Authority would be revoked over Oslo's "anti-Israel behavior" since the Gaza war began last October.

"I ordered the termination of any representation on behalf of the Norwegian Embassy in Israel vis-a-vis the Palestinian Authority," Katz said in a statement.

Turkish officials rejected Israeli attempts to "denigrate" President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Friday and condemned Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz for his latest provocation.

Katz targeted Erdoğan in a post on social media, claiming that the Turkish president is turning his country into a "dictatorship."

 President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on Wednesday condemned the assassination of Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh in Iran as "treacherous" and said the zionist barbarism once again will fail to reach its goals.

"This assassination aims to undermine the noble resistance of Gaza and the righteous struggle of Palestinians," Erdoğan said in a statement on X.
