Kyriakos to CNN: Greek people have lost their faith in current gov’t
“New Democracy is the alternative that can get Greece out of the crisis,” leader of main opposition New Democracy Kyriakos Mitsotakis stated in an interview with CNN International on April 11.

Attack at “Proto Thema” is an attack on freedom of press
Politicians disapproved the cowardly attack at the offices of Proto Thema and protothema.gr which caused damages and put employees’ lives in danger.
Almost all political parties condemned the attack and expressed their disapproval of such actions which aim to undermine the freedom of speech.
Plenary talks on refugees and security to take place on April 19
The Greek Parliament’s Conference of the Presidents decided that the scheduled discussion on the refugee crisis and security will take place on Tuesday, April 19.

Mistotakis: Tsipras is the biggest liar since 1974
Leader of Greece’s major opposition party New Democracy, Kyriakos Mitsotakis said the timing was ‘politically good’ for the conservative party addressing a ND event Monday in Athens. He added, however, that the timing for the country was problematic and attacked Greek PM Alexis Tsipras accusing him of ‘having told the greatest lies after 1974′ in Greek politics.

New Democracy leader Mitsotakis attacks Tsipras over wikileaks IMF scandal
Kyriakos Mistotakis, leader of the major Greek opposition party New Democracy commented on the wikileaks revelations regarding the IMF and the negotiations with the Greek government by attacking PM Alexis Tsipras during a party rally in Larissa.
New poll shows ND leading over ruling party
The poll conducted by the University of Macedonia on behalf of SKAI TV channel shows New Democracy leading over SYRIZA by 8%.

Cracks appear in SYRIZA due to migration bill
Greek parliament approved in principle on Friday a bill on migration activating the EU-Turkey agreement and allowing the return of refugees to Turkey as of Monday, with 169 votes in favour and 107 against.
SYRIZA, ANEL, the Democratic Coalition and Potami voted in favour of the bill, while New Democracy, Golden Dawn, the Communist Party and the Centrists’ Union voted it down.

ND proposes examining committee for third memorandum
Main opposition New Democracy tabled a proposal for an examining committee to conduct an investigation for the reasons why capital controls were imposed on Greece and the signing of the third memorandum, as well as the need for a fresh recapitalisation of Greek banks.
