Anti-authoritarian organization causes damages to polling station

Members of anti-authoritarian organization Rubicon entered the polling station of New Democracy at Philadelphia area, Athens on Sunday causing damages.

About 15 persons wearing black hoods and helmets entered the room, threw red paint on the floor and walls writing anti-authoritarian slogans, smashed the ballot boxes and took down a banner.

Meimarakis: Together we will achieve a higher percentage than 28%

Candidate Vangelis Meimarakis appeared optimistic about the election results and voters’ participation. According to information, about 40,000 voters have already cast their vote.

After casting his vote, Mr. Meimarakis said “Today New Democracy celebrates” stressing that there are neither winners nor losers, but today wins democracy within New Democracy party.

Meimarakis-Mitsotakis fight over ND leadership: ND turns over a new leaf

The time has come for the two candidates to see who will prevail in the elections for New Democracy leadership following a very long campaign which revealed party’s internal issues.

The polls are open from 7am to 7pm on Sunday for ND’s supporters to cast their vote and choose either Vangelis Meimarakis or Kyriakos Mitsotakis for their new leader.

Countdown to ND leadership election day

The day for the election of the new leader of New Democracy is near with less than 24 hours until the polls open.

Tomorrow at 7am the polls open with two candidates fighting for ND leadership, Vangelis Meimarakis and Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Supporters of New Democracy will be able to cast their vote from 7am to 7pm on Sunday and until 11pm it is estimated to get clear result.

Tzitzikostas: I don’t support anyone, I don’t agree with transactions and party lines

Prefect of Central Macedonia Apostolos Tzitzikostas will give a press conference at noon and is expected to state that he won’t support anyone for the second round of the elections for New Democracy’s new leader.

“I don’t support anyone, I don’ t agree with transactions and party lines” Mr. Tzitzikostas will state in the press conference according to information.
