Israel's prime minister said his government has begun editing West Bank maps to include areas his country plans to annex.

The move comes after U.S. President Donald Trump released a "deal" to end the Israel-Palestine conflict.

The armed wing of Gaza-based resistance faction Islamic Jihad called on Palestinians on Feb. 7 to attack Israeli military checkpoints.

"We call for comprehensive and direct conflict as long as the opportunities are available and to embark on the path of fighting and freedom," Abu Hamza, the spokesperson of the al-Quds Brigades, said on Twitter.

The United States has requested a closed-door U.N. Security Council meeting for Feb. 6 at which President Donald Trump's son-in-law and advisor, Jared Kushner, is to present the administration's new Mideast plan which is opposed by the Palestinian leadership, diplomats said.    

Members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Feb. 2 unanimously rejected the "Deal of the Century," which is a plan proposed by the U.S. administration for peace in the Middle East.

Turkey on Feb. 2 announced its support for the Arab League's recent decision to reject the U.S.' peace plan for the Middle East.

Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met on Feb. 2 with his Palestinian counterpart Riyad al-Maliki in Saudi Arabia's capital, which is set to host a high-level meeting on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

Turkey will attend the meeting of Executive Committee Ministerial on Feb. 3, which will be held by the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Saudi Arabia to discuss Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the country's Foreign Ministry said.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu warned on Dec. 28 against attempts to create a situation in Libya similar to that in civil war-torn Syria.

Turkey will remain ready to help enhance the mediation agenda of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the country's top diplomat said on Nov. 1. 

Minister of Foreign Affairs Teodor Melescanu attended the 46th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OCI) from Abu Dhabi , where he had a series of bilateral meetings with representatives of the member countries of this body.
