Night Museum project starts at Hierapolis

The launch of the "Museum by Night" project, which will bring Türkiye's unique historical sites and rich cultural heritage to visitors in a completely different atmosphere after sunset, was held on March 8 at the Pamukkale Hierapolis ancient city in the western province of Denizli with the participation of officials from the Culture and Tourism Ministry and state protocol.

Pamukkale University rector suspended after giving job to wife

The rector of Pamukkale University, Hüseyin Bağ, has been suspended from his post after reports that he gave a job to his wife in the university, Turkey's Higher Education Board (YÖK) said on Aug. 10.

The move comes after reports that he had given his wife a job as a teaching assistant went viral on social media.

Anatolian people established ancient city of Laodicea

Excavations in the ancient city of Laodicea in the western province of Denizli have found the historic settlement was established by Anatolian people, not Roman or Greeks as previously believed, Celal Şimşek, the head of the archaeology department at Pamukkale University (PAU) who leads the excavations, has said.
