Non-fuel exports retain growth course in October

Greek exports are showing remarkable resilience in the face of the pandemic, growing 4.1% in October on an annual basis (excluding fuel products), according to Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) data analyzed by the Panhellenic Exporters Association.

Exports amounted to 2.21 billion euros, up from €2.12 billion a year earlier.

France boosts Greek EU exports

The European Union proved the best and most consistent customer for Greek products last year, as the 27 fellow member-states of the bloc absorbed an even greater share of the country's exports in 2019, according to an analysis by the research center of the Panhellenic Exporters Association.

Exports expanded in July, but so did imports

Greek exports returned to high growth rates in July, recording an annual increase of 7.2 percent, according to data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT).
However, the Panhellenic Exporters Association is expressing concern due to the increase in imports, too, that has seen the trade deficit expand further at the same time.

Exports grow in H1, with China on the rise

Italy, Germany and Cyprus remained Greece's most important export markets in the first half of the year, in that order, preliminary data from the Hellenic Statistical Authority (ELSTAT) indicate, also pointing to a 42.7 percent increase in exports to China, raising that country's position from 16th place last year to 12th.
