Erdoğan calls for expanded dialogue in Turkish politics

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has called for broader dialogue and compromise in national politics, urging a more unified approach.

"We want to see a different style and discourse in politics," Erdoğan told his ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) members in parliament on Oct. 9.

Amid a backdrop of regional conflict, Erdoğan noted the importance of cooperation.

Erdoğan reiterates call for 'civilian' constitution

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has renewed his administration's push for a new constitution, emphasizing that the new document should be a "civilian text."

"We believe that it is high time for Türkiye to get rid of the current constitution, which is a product of a coup," Erdoğan said during an event in the capital Ankara on Sept. 2.

AKP plans talks with parties on new constitution post-Eid

After the Eid al-Fitr holiday in April 12, ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) officials are set to embark on a series of discussions with other political parties regarding the formulation of a new constitution, sources have confirmed.

Eid al-Fitr, the religious holiday marking the holy month of Ramadan's end, is scheduled to commence on April 10 and culminate on April 12.

Erdoğan vows inclusion for all citizens

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has said his government does not discriminate against citizens based on their political views.

"We all remember very well what happened to us in the past when the institution of politics lost its ability to offer hope and find solutions to the country's problems," he said, addressing a crowd in northern Rize city on Feb. 17.
