MHP to run independently for parliament
The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), the closest ally of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), has decided to run independently for the parliament despite expectations that the two partners could cooperate to maximize their representation in the parliament.

İYİ Party leader criticizes gov’t over hike in minimum pension
İYİ (Good) Party leader Akşener on March 29 criticized the recent hike in the minimum pension made by the government, saying it is an "insult" to the citizens of the country.
MHP to run for polls with its emblems, candidates: Bahçeli
Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli on March 28 said his party will enter the elections with its emblems and candidates but not as part of the joint list of the People's Alliance.
"The MHP will certainly achieve the success it deserves, and longs for, with three crescent emblems and valuable parliamentary candidates in all electoral circles," he tweeted.
YSK says 4 potential contenders to race for presidency
According to a temporary list published in the Official Gazette by the Supreme Election Board (YSK), the people of Türkiye will elect its new president out of four contenders, including President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the opposition candidate, Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu.
Independent candidates collect signatures to race at presidential polls
Voters have been applying to the relevant district election boards since March 22 to sign in favor of presidential candidates that need at least 100,000 signatures to run at the May 14 polls. The signature process will continue until March 27.

Representatives of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) and Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) on March 21 applied to the Supreme Election Board (YSK) for the candidacy of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
