Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, the chairman of the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP), has strongly denounced President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for withdrawing Turkey from the Istanbul Convention that promotes gender rights and stipulates concrete legal and administrative actions to stop the violence against women.
Main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) Spokesperson Faik Öztrak on March 15 criticized the government for "not being able to manage" the outbreak in Turkey while noting the delayed vaccinations.
Speaking to reporters, Öztrak also criticized the government for being disorganized in the vaccination program.
The Central Bank's foreign exchange reserves incurred no losses as claimed by the main opposition party, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said on March 10 while defending the policies of the former treasury and finance minister and his son-in-law, Berat Albayrak, and pointing out that Turkey has realized many achievements during his tenure.
Rasim Öztekin, a beloved Turkish television, theater and movie actor, passed away on March 8 at the age of 62.
Öztekin died at an Istanbul hospital following a heart attack on March 7, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca announced on Twitter.
"He was a family member in every home with a television," Koca said.
