Turkey sees rise in voters ahead of Nov. 1 poll

Turkey's early election slated for Nov. 1 has seen a considerable increase in the number of registered voters, the country's Supreme Election Board (YSK) has revealed.

The board says that more than 54 million people are registered to vote in Turkey while almost 2.9 million people will be able to cast their votes from outside the country.

Solution of Kurdish problem cannot be achieved by military: CHP leader

Turkey's Kurdish problem cannot be solved solely by military means, but with consensus and "brotherhood," Republican People's Party (CHP) head Kemal K?l?çdaro?lu has said. 

Speaking at a party meeting during his election campaign trip in Europe on Sept. 25, K?l?çdaro?lu said the issue could not currently be resolved because politicians have "endorsed the case to the military."

Turkey's political parties focus on key battleground provinces for Nov 1 polls

As Turkey heads to a reelection on Nov. 1 following the June 7 polls, which failed to produce a single-party or coalition government, the country's political parties have shifted their focus to provinces where they narrowly lost seats in the last election, with some locations particularly under the spotlight.
