The total number of voters registered on the permanent electoral lists is 18,217,156, for Sunday's poll, according to a statement of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP).

Romanians abroad will have three days and 835 polling stations at their disposal to vote in the presidential election, starting this Friday. Thus, the polling stations abroad will be open between 12.00 pm and 9.00 pm on Friday, local time, and between 7.00 am and 9.00 pm on Saturday and Sunday, local time.

Prime Minister Ludovic Orban met on Wednesday at Victoria Palace with the representatives of the public institutions in charge of the organisation of the presidential election, meaning to carry out an analysis into the current stage of preparations.

Bucharest, Oct 22 /Agerpres/ - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) announced on Monday evening having released the complete list and the interactive map of the 835 polling stations that will be organized abroad for the presidential election this November; the list and the interactive map are available at http://www.mae.ro/node/49479.

Schools, cultural centres, hotels, restaurants and children's entertainment venues will host polling stations for Romanian nationals abroad voting in the November presidential election, according to a list published by the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP). AEP has approved 835 polling stations abroad in all, with the most being in Spain - 143.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MAE) on Wednesday sent the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) an additional list of 68 polling stations abroad, besides the proposals sent on October 3 and 10. MAE has proposed the organisation of a total 777 polling stations for the presidential elections, so far, reads a release of this Ministry.

Foreign Minister Ramona Manescu has sent a letter to the leaders of political parties in Romania saying that the human resources locally available abroad are limited for the November election of Romania's president, calling on the parties for help with conducting the voting process abroad under the best circumstances.

The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) approved by decision, at the proposal of the diplomatic missions and consular offices, another 270 polling stations abroad at this year's presidential election, according to a statement sent to AGERPRES on Sunday.

Minister for Romanians Abroad Natalia Intotero said on Friday, at the presentation of her ministry's activity report for the years 2017-2019, that the budget allocated to MRP for supporting the activity of Romanians everywhere was 33,539,000 lei, of which 7,029,000 lei for 2017, 11,785,000 lei for 2018 and 14,665,000 lei for 2019.

The Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP) approved through Decision No.35/2019, the proposals of the diplomatic missions and consular offices regarding the 444 polling stations abroad in the presidential elections of 2019, a release of the Foreign Affairs Ministry (MAE) sent to AGERPRES on Saturday informed.
