President Iohannis invites parliamentary parties to talks about personal data processing legislation
President Klaus Iohannis is inviting leaders of parliamentary parties to talks at the Cotroceni Presidential Palace on Wednesday to discuss the legal framework for the processing of personal data and the protection of privacy in electronic communications, the Presidential Administration reports.

President signs major reshuffle of ambassadors
President Klaus Iohannis signed this week several ambassador appointments, giving his seal of approval to journalist and writer Emil Hurezeanu's nomination as Ambassador of Romania to Germany, and to historian, essayist and politician Adrian Cioroianu taking over as Romania's Ambassador and Permanent Delegate to UNESCO, the Presidential Administration announced.

President Iohannis approves nomination of former intelligence director Maior as ambassador to US
President Klaus Iohannis has approved on Thursday the nomination of former Romanian Intelligence Service (SRI) director George Maior as ambassador to the United States, the Presidential Administration announced.

Iliescu Admits Romania Hosted Secret CIA Base
