Bulgaria State Energy Cos to Save BGN 20 M This Year - Minister

Bulgarian Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova has said that state-owned companies in the sector will be able to save some BGN 20 M in 2015.

In an interview with the Bulgarian National Television she has reminded of the government's commitment to cut expenditures there by 10% every year until 2017.

MHP calls on supreme prosecutor to act against HDP

Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahçeli has called on the Supreme Court of Appeals' Prosecutor's Office to take legal action against the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP) for acting against the law on political parties by maintaining alleged ties with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK). 

Botevgrad Mayor Interrogated on Corruption Case

The Botevgrad Mayor Georgi Georgiev has been taken for interrogation at the local Prosecutor's Office earlier on Monday morning.

He is not arrested and he is not a suspect on any investigation. The measure was taken afrter several unsuccessful attempts on the part of the Botevgrad prosecution to call Georgiev in for questioning.

Naser Oric arrested in Switzerland

Naser Oric arrested in Switzerland

Swiss police arrested Naser Oric, Bosniak wartime commander of Srebrenica, at the airport in Bern today, because he is on Serbian Interpol's wanted list.

Oric was arrested on the basis of the indictment against him by the Prosecutor's Office for War Crimes in Belgrade in 2014, based on court records transferred to the Tribunal in The Hague.
