The first documented mention of the "citadel of Bucharest" as princely residence comes up in a document issued on 20 September 1459 by Vlad Tepes (Vlad the Impaler), ruler of Wallachia (1448, 1456-1462, 1476-1477).

IPA Prix Voltaire given to Turkish publishers

Turkish prosecutor seeks 34-year jail term for Fethullah Gülen

Armenian as an 'insult'
Ankara Mayor Melih Gökçek has sued writer Hayko Ba?dat on the grounds the writer insulted him in Twitter. In the tweet which was considered insulting, Ba?dat wrote, ?They have given Ankara to an Armenian, what a shame.?
