1.The news commentary titled "Here are the financiers of betrayal," published by daily Sabah on March 4, 2016, is a new example of distortion in the publishing business.
IMC TV satellite broadcast blacked out
The satellite broadcast of IMC TV was blacked out on Feb. 24, following a public prosecutor's demand that its frequency be cut for "making terror organization propaganda."
"There has been an interruption in the satellite broadcast of IMC TV. The reason has not been clarified yet," the small leftist station said in a tweet.

Turkish media to be inspected on conforming to 'traditional family values'
Measures will be taken in order to ensure that all broadcasts and publications in Turkish media conform to "traditional family values," according to the government's official program for 2016 published at the Official Gazette on Jan. 23.

Turkey has turned into a country of suicide attacks, killings and massacres. The pressure on those who want to talk about such issues is constantly growing.
The latest instance came after a suicide attack by an Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militant, who killed at least 10 people on Jan. 12 in Istanbul's historical Sultanahmet neighborhood.

TV watchdog fines two broadcasters for slander against Ayd?n Do?an
Turkey's TV and radio watchdog has fined three private broadcasters for publishing "news contrary to the facts" and for slander against Ayd?n Do?an, the founder and honorary chairman of Do?an Holding, which owns daily Hürriyet.

My show on CNN Türk was fined 37,000 Turkish Liras by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK), by a majority vote.
The fine was over a program that went on air on Oct. 2 hosting writer Muhsin K?z?lkaya, a deputy of the ruling Justice and Development Party (AK Party) and journalist Günay Aslan, a member of the Kurdish problem-focused Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP).

Media watchdog model for supreme council of judges
It was two years ago when then-Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdo?an defended the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) model for the Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors (HSYK). However, this did not happen because it required a constitutional amendment.
It has not been officially disclosed, but today some are also saying the RTÜK model is being considered for the HSYK.
