Bosnian Serb Protesters Denounce Ban on City-Centre Rallies

Several hundreds protesters, led by opposition MPs in the assembly of Republika Srpska, the mainly Serbian entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina, gathered for a second time in the Mladen Stojanovic park in Banja Luka, close to the RS government building after the authorities refused to allow them to gather in the central Krajina Square.

Bosnian Serb Police Release Davor Dragicevic

Bosnian Serb police on Wednesday released Davor Dragicevic after detaining him for more than 24 hours.

The father of the young man whose death has sparked political turmoil in Bosnia's mainly Serb entity, Republika Srpska, vowed to continue his campaign for justice and the regular protests in the main squqre of Banja Luka, the main city in the RS.

Dragicevic Protesters Camp Before Bosnian Serb Police HQ

Several hundred people led by Davor Dragicevic, father of David Dragicevic - the young man killed in March in unsolved circumstances - spent Wednesday night in front of the police department in Banja Luka, the main city in Bosnia's Serb-dominated entity, demanding to know who killed the 21-year-old.

"Central condition for Serbia - accept Kosovo independence"

If Serbia wants to move toward the European Union, the building of the rule of law is a primary condition, but naturally also the acceptance of Kosovos independence, Gabriel said during a joint press conference with Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj, Tanjug reported, citing Reuters.

"That is a central condition to take the path toward Europe," Gabriel added.
