Samsun State Opera

Organized by the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet, the Bodrum Ballet Festival, Türkiye's first and only ballet festival, is meeting art lovers for the 21st time.

The event, held in Bodrum Castle, attracted great interest from both local and foreign tourists.

Continuing its preparations for the new art season, the Samsun State Opera and Ballet (SAMDOB) is getting ready to meet its audience with the first ballet premiere of the season.

Following the closure of theaters due to the coronavirus epidemic, the Serbian National Theater Novi Sad has found a way to continue meeting with its audience and support other nations, health professionals, those who have lost relatives and those who are still struggling to survive.

Samsun State Opera and Ballet (SAMDOB) will re-perform the "Yeniden Doğuş" ("Reborn" in English) opera in honor of the 96th anniversary of founding of the Turkish Republic on Oct. 29, 1923.

Renowned Turkish novelist Reşat Nuri Güntekin's famous work "Çalıkuşu" (The Wren) was performed by the Samsun State Opera and Ballet.

The Mardin Opera and Ballet Days event, organized by the State Opera and Ballet General Directorate, has opened in the eastern province of Mardin. The Samsun State Opera and Ballet gave a "Symphonic Songs" concert in the opening ceremony.  

Opening with Verdi’s classic opera ‘Attila’ by the Ankara State Opera and Ballet, the 5th Istanbul Opera Festival will
enliven opera stages across the city until June 17
The 5th International Istanbul Opera festival starts today, presenting the Istanbul audience with a rich program including local and foreign artists until June 17.
