The Serbian Bar Association, AKS, on Sunday urged the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, not to promulgate the disputed Law on Expropriation by signing amendments to the law that parliament adopted on November 26.

Serbian Lawyers Set to Discuss Ending Strike
The Bar Association of Serbia and the Serbian Justice Ministry have agreed that the ministry will amend a controversial Law on Notaries and a set of accompanying laws, paving a way for lawyers to end their prolonged strike.
Lawyers and the ministry signed an agreement that the Managing Board of the Serbian Bar Association will discuss on Saturday, January 10.

Lawyers, Justice Ministry reach agreement
BELGRADE - Expert teams of the Serbian Justice Ministry and the Serbian Bar Association (AKS) achieved an agreement on Thursday concerning the amendments to the Law on Notary Public and the accompanying set of laws which was the main condition for the end of strike lawyers launched on September 17, 2014.
