Serbian and Kosovo officials have congratulated Richard Grenell - the US ambassador to Germany and US Special Envoy on the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue - on his new appointment as acting director of National Intelligence in the US, where he will oversee the work of some 17 agencies until a permanent appointment is made.

But Pristina-based newspaper Koha Ditore is reporting that the five men have been released "immediately after they were questioned."

The director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija spoke on Tuesday, to say this was also the message of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, and that representatives of the European Union have already been informed about it - "but there is still no reply."

"The chief negotiator from Pristina (Avni Arifi) is uttering incredible words than nobody's reacting to - and many would have to," the head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija told Tanjug.

Kosovo's karate team was not allowed to enter Serbia on Wednesday morning for the European Karate Championship which will be held in Novi Sad on May 10- 13.

These reports recall that Serb members left the government in protest over the arrest of the Director of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metojija Marko Djuric, who is also the chief negotiator in the dialogue with Pristina.

The head of the Serbian Government's Office for Kosovo and Metohija added that Thaci was no longer hiding the main goal of his past and current political activity - and that is "the creation of a so-called Greater Albania."

"His destructive activity represents a direct threat to the whole region, but also to Europe," Djuric said.

Tanjug is reporting that the EU "gave Pristina a four-month time frame for the process."

A statement posted on the website of the the European External Action Service said that "the drafting process for the statute has started and will take place within a four-month time frame."

This is according to Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who added that the duties of these international force are "enshrined in their mandates."

Haradinaj wrote this on Facebook on Wednesday, adding that the Serb List - who decided to leave his government and form the Community of Serb Municipalities on their own unless Pristina does in by April 20 - should "return to the table and discuss common topics to the benefit of all citizens."
