Bosnia Federation Prime Minister Detained in ‘Respirators’ Affair’

Fadil Novalic, the caretaker Prime Minister of Bosnia's Federation entity, was detained Thursday overnight by the state law enforcement agency SIPA together with the head of the Civil Protection and the owner of a private company as part of an investigation into the purchase of allegedly overpriced Chinese respirators. 

Bosnia: Islamic State flags, arms seized in two locations

Two persons have also been detained in connection with the case.

A joint operation with the SIPA agency resulted in the discovery of the said flags, along with hand grenades, ammunition, magazines for automatic rifles, knives, and flak vests.

A prosecutor will decide on how to proceed after the suspects have been turned over, a statement said.

Bosnian Police Raid Bank Linked to Dodik

Bosnia's State Intelligence and Protection Agency, SIPA, raided the premises of Pavlovic International Bank in the northeastern Bosnian town of Bijeljina on Wednesday.

They entered the bank "under a mandate given by the Prosecution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is investigating a possible case of illegal transactions", the spokesperson of SIPA confirmed to BIRN.

Counterfeiters Nabbed in Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia

Bosnia's State Investigative and Protection Agency, SIPA, arrested three persons after raids in six locations in the north of Bosnia, searching for the people behind the illegal production of various documents.

The alleged counterfeiters are also being arrested in Croatia as part of a months-long investigation in the two countries focusing on activities committed from 2013 to 2015.
