Vucic announces "serious changes" in party and cabinet

Prime Minister and SNS party leader Aleksandar Vucic says there will be "serious changes" in his party and in the cabinet, if they wins the April 24 election.

In an interview for the Nedeljnik weekly, quoted by the Beta agency, Vucic also said it was "very difficult to once again forge a coalition with the Socialist Party of Serbia (SPS) President Ivica Dacic."

SNS party leader Aleksandar Vucic has said that he "never believed in the loyalty of the leader of the Socialist Party of Serbia, Ivica Dacic."

Vucic, who currently serves as prime minister with Dacic serving as his first deputy and foreign minister, added that the Socialists have been in his government "because he felt that was good for the future of Serbia."

"Coalition government, even if SNS wins absolute majority"

PM and ruling SNS party leader Aleksandar Vucic says he will pursue a coalition with other parties after the election even if he wins an absolute majority.

In an interview for the Politico website, Vucic, a former SRS official, also ruled out any form of cooperation with Vojislav Seselj's Serb Radical Party (SRS) Wor other nationalist forces."

President doubts "wisdom" of one party forming cabinet alone

The SNS party is the one to decide whether to create a government alone after early parliamentary elections, or to, if it is able, go for coalitions.

Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic made this statement for Belgrade daily Vecernje Novosti, adding that he was questioning the wisdom of one party alone taking the responsibility for all the difficult decisions "in these times."

American political consultant Tad Devine will likely once again advise Serbia's ruling SNS party in their election campaign, writes a Belgrade-based daily.

According to Blic, Devine is currently working in the team of Bernie Sanders, who is trying to win a nomination of the Democratic Party to run in U.S. presidential elections later this year.
