Vucic vows "not to spend more than ten days" campaigning

SNS party leader and PM Aleksandar Vucic said on Tuesday that April 24 could be the date for early parliamentary, as well as provincial and local elections.

He told reporters in Belgrade, after attending the launch of construction works to build a bridge on the Sava River, that April 24 was "not an unrealistic" date to hold elections.

Minister says coalition partners are "almost lowlives"

Deputy Prime Minister and high-ranking SNS party official Zorana Mihajlovic says SPS party officials have been "saying many lies" in the past days and months.

The Progressives (SNS), led by Aleksandar Vucic, and the Socialists (SPS), led by Ivica Dacic, are coalition partners in the current Serbian government.

MP: Campaign to give Kosovo "international capacity"

A campaign aimed at Kosovo gaining "international capacity" in several directions is currently under way, Milovan Drecun has said.

Speaking for the state broadcaster RTS, the chair of the Parliamentary Committee on Kosovo and Metohija from the ranks of the ruling SNS party said Belgrade was "facing a planned campaign."

Daily: Provincial and local elections to be held on Jan. 24

The SNS party has decided that provincial and local elections will be held in Serbia on January 24, 2016, the Belgrade-based daily Blic writes.

If SNS leader and PM Aleksandar Vucic decides that early parliamentary elections should be held as well, they will be scheduled for the same day, according to the paper.
