Croatia's Office for suppression of corruption and organized crime, USKOK, on Tuesday called for Zagreb Mayor Milan Bandic to be taken back into custody until investigations into his alleged crimes are complete.
Bandic - currently on bail - is accused of using his period at liberty to influence a witness in his upcoming trial, forge documents and undermine the judicial process.

PM Ponta on constitutional revision: There should be a referendum this year, unless PNL changes tack
Prime Minister Victor Ponta on Monday said that the constitution revision process should be completed this year, but an impediment in the National Liberal Party (PNL) may be represented by rallying around the position of the former Democratic Liberal Party (PDL) to oppose the amendment of the fundamental law.

PM Victor Ponta to be heard on March 11 in 'Referendum' criminal case

The head of Turkey's Religious Affairs, or Diyanet, has once again reacted to a recent Austrian code, which caused debate with items that regulates Islam in the country, saying that the body a plan-B to by-pass the code by training a number of Turkish-origin imams in Turkey before they return to the European country as religious officials.

German politician Sebastian Edathy pleads guilty in child porn trial
Sebastian Edathy, a former rising star in Germany's Social Democratic Party, has confessed during his trial to downloading indecent photos and videos of children from the Internet, using his official government laptop in 2013.
According to a Deutsche Welle report, following his confession on Monday, Edathy was handed by the Verden District Court a fine of 5,000 euros.
