The arrests were announced by Norway's police on Wednesday and then confirmed by the Bulgarian authorities. 

Both detainees are Norwegian citizens. One arrest took place in Oslo, Norway, while the other was in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. The arrest in Bulgaria was done on a warrant issued by the Public Prosecutor's Office of Norway.

25 people from a disrupted drug trafficking group and their leader Radmil Ranov, have been circulated as internationally wanted. European arrest warrants have been issued for them. The group forced dealers to sell drugs on their behalf, reports BNT.

The Specialised Prosecutor's Office and the Directorate for Combatting Organised Crime disrupted an organized crime group on trafficking and sexual exploitation of women, Deputy Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev said at a briefing at the Court of Justice on July 29.

The Prosecutor's College of the Supreme Judicial Council elected Dimitar Petrov as the head of the Specialised Prosecutor's Office. So far, Petrov was the deputy head of the Specialised Prosecutor's office.

The topic of the underpriced apartments acquired by high-ranking Bulgarian officials was a subject of the talks in Brussels on 15th of April between Bulgaria's Chief Prosecutor Sotir Tsatsarov and First Vice-President of the European Commission (EC), Frans Timmermans. The two discussed the progress of the judicial reform and the issues that were still in the process of resolution.

The specialised prosecutor's office on 11th of December pressed charges against four people for involvement in an organised crime group for trafficking in human beings used for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

By a decision of the government, Petar Haralampiev was released from the post of chairperson of the State Agency for Bulgarians Abroad, the government press office said on 5th of November. Haralampiev's position will be temporarily filled by the Deputy Chairperson of the Agency, Dimitar Vladimirov, until new Chair is appointment.

More than 10 employees of the Executive Agency "Automobile Administration" in the city of Blagoevgrad were arrested in an anticorruption operation carried out by the Specialised Prosecutior's Office and the chief directorate for combatting organized crime on 24th of April.

The criminal group detained on Trakia motorway on Saturday night (16th of September) has been involved in drug distribution, murders and smuggling, the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor's office said on 19th of September, reported BNT. 

The Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) will ask the Specialised Prosecutor's Office to publish a list of politicians financed by bankrupt Corporate Commercial Bank (CorpBank or KTB), according to the words of the leader of the party Korneliya Ninova, quoted by DarikNews.
